WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Engineering Manager-Structural for our Chicago Transit and Rail Delivery Team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Manage planning and/or engineering projects including Bridge Design, Railroad Platforms, Stations, Transit Buildings and similar projects .
* Manage staff and activities for projects of significant size and complexity
* Facilitating meetings with client and client staff, monitoring project activities and their completion for client satisfaction
* Develop and maintain strong client relationships
* Strong organizational and communication skills, written and verbal
* Lead proposals and pursuits
* Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
* 15 years of total related structural engineering experience with more than 5 years" experience working on transit projects.
* Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering or related field
* Proven ability to guide assigned projects through successful completion.
* Familiarity with transit network design and service operation planning related to Heavy Rail, Light Rail. BRT, and other high capacity transit services.
* Experience with capital and operating cost estimation for transit programs.
* High degree of creativity, foresight, technical judgment in assigned projects.
* Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and ability to work within a team environment

* Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP"s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies

Preferred Qualifications:
* Extensive project management for public agency transit and rail construction programs.
* Ability to also serve as Key Team Member for major strategic transit and rail opportunities.
* SE/ PE license required
