Job Description
Private elementary school is looking for responsible individuals interested in substituting in Early Childhood, Lower School, and Middle School. This position requires the willingness to work on campus with students. Supervising responsibilities include: lunch, recess, independent work time, and classroom management. Qualifications Flexible and willing to adapt to change at short notice. Use initiative to solve problems when they arise and willing to make decisions on the best interest of students. Expertise in building active, collaborative classroom programs that encourage problem-solving, critical thinking skills, and develop a sense of classroom community and trust. A solid understanding of elementary school organization, programs, and students. A proven ability to differentiate instruction and integrate learning. Ability to improvise lessons in emergency situations where the teacher is unable to provide lesson plans.
