Description

The 2nd Shift (2:30pm to 11:30pm) Facilities Manager responsible for developing and executing environmental solutions. Offers a wide variety of environmental solutions to meet customer and client needs.

  • Tour's areas of responsibility daily. Records findings and communicates any need for correction/resolution. Follows up to ensure that delegated projects/tasks have been completed or scheduled in a timely manner.
  • Conducts a minimum of 10 quality inspections per week to ensure department and hospital standards for cleanliness. Addresses concerns with responsible employees immediately to allow time for correction. Scores are trending at 90 percent or a positive trend.
  • Responds to housekeeping issues such as construction clean up, special event set up and clean up and plumbing leaks and breaks.
  • Interacts with departmental directors, managers, supervisors, nurses and physicians to determine environmental needs throughout the facility.
  • Audits KRONOS details and makes corrections on a daily basis. Uses sign in sheets and days on days off roster for supporting documentation.
  • Ensures compliance with FFP schedules and submits requests for modifications to EVS Director based on changes throughout the facility.
  • Utilizes productivity tools such as FFP/Patient Connect reports to analyze staffing productivity and to address any concerns. Addresses concerns to help ensure that bed turnaround time is charted according to set forth hospital goals.
  • Conducts interviews and selects staff according to approved criteria.
  • Completes and delivers staff annual performance evaluations no later than 2 weeks prior to Banner due date. Obtains manager approval on all evaluations prior to delivery. Logs the completion on the EVS Common drive
  • Schedules and ensures that staff attends required EVS training throughout the course of the year.
  • Attends and participates in training opportunities to further develop skills as an Environmental Services Supervisor.
  • Attends weekly management meeting. Participates in sharing of information.
  • Participates in Monthly departmental meetings. Presents information to staff and helps to create a positive atmosphere.
  • Conducts nurse/department rounding with key customers in accordance with set forth quantity standards. Follows up on all needs and concerns and provides feedback to key customers. Manages concerns up when applicable.

Qualifications

  • Requires at least 3 years experience in EVS, preferably in a Health-care setting
  • Microsoft Application Skills (Word, Excel, Power-Point)
  • Employee Management experience - hiring and training
  • High School Diploma
