Job Description

Tool Room Mold Technician

Plastic injection molding company has 2 openings

For a mold maintenance, conversion, & repair technician

1-Entry level tech. just needs some mechanical experience working with hand tools

and you can learn how to be an experienced technician, while getting paid

1-Experienced technician, should already have knowledge of molds

and other components of molds

Join our long- term employees, working in an air conditioned, heated, clean facility,

where we make plastic parts, for food, medical & personal care items,

some of which you may already have in your house.

General duties may include but not limited to: Clean, Repair,

Maintain, Set up molds, so they are ready for production



Job Requirements:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Safety is number 1 at HQC

* Changing components of family molds to facilitate production of different products.

* Repairing, cleaning and inspection of molds.

* Lubricate and maintain internal and external components of tooling.

* Proper use of Bridgeport, lathe, grinder, and other machinery.

* Operate overhead cranes and lift trucks to transport and move dies and molds.

* Proper use of various hand tools, power tools, lifts, gages, etc. in the repair and maintenance of tools.

* Maintain and clean the tool room to provide a safe and hazard free environment.

* Assist with mold setting in large and small presses.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

* Strong mechanical aptitude.

* Knowledge of part and mold complexities. (experienced)

* Knowledge of plastic injection molds. (experienced)

* Knowledge of proper use of horizontal mills, lathes, grinders and cut off saw. (experienced)

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Strong attention to detail.

* Understanding of and commitment to safe working practices and must pass company safety training and complete training packet in a timely matter

* Ability to work under minimal supervision in a fast paced environment.

* Able to read, write, speak, and understand English

Entry level will start at $15.00 per hour
