Description:
Job Purpose:
Under general direction of the Quality Manager, responsible for administering and coordinating quality control, inspection and testing activities to ensure that the quality of all products received, manufactured and shipped comply with customer specifications and ISO 13485:9003 QMS Quality Manual & Procedures. Follow established policies, procedures and guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Primary job functions typically require the exercising of independent judgment and decision making. Incumbents apply knowledge and understanding of the field's concepts, practices, and principles to develop solutions to problems of moderate scope and complexity.
Role and Responsibilities:
-Become familiar with full scope or products and processes
-Daily quality checks on products
-First article inspections
-Interaction with design department and project managers regarding product requirements
-Verifying paperwork completed by operators
-Ensuring proper document retention
-Statistical sampling of product batches
-Verifying product prior to release/shipment
-Conducting internal audits, potential vendor audits,
-Completing/reporting product or process validations as necessary
-Writing procedures
-Writing work instructions
-Corrective action completion as necessary
-Preventive action completion as necessary
-Working with customer service to ensure customer needs are being met from a quality aspect
MUST:
-Engineering Degree
-Internship experience working within a manufacturing based setting in a Quality or Manufacturing capacity
-Ability to read and interpret BluePrints
-Ability to create and document quality findings
-Ability to create and follow work instructions and standard operating procedures
-Ability to complete first piece, in-process and final inspection
-Ability to utilize hand tools such as; micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc..
-Experience working with PPAP's
PLUS:
-ISO 13485 experience
-Testing/Validation experience
