POSITION TITLE: Hope-Strong Regional Social Work Manager

OUTCOMES
Responsible for the coordination and integration of all Social Services ministries among Salvation Army units and resources within an assigned region of the City of Chicago. Responsible for the full implementation of the Pathway of Hope model within the assigned region.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Administration and PlanningTeam DevelopmentProvide professional direction in order to coordinate all program ministries within service region.Program services are delivered and coordinated in a fully integrated manner within the context of overall corps ministries.Corps and Program staff are aware of HOPE-STRONG objectives and the role their positions have in meeting these. Ongoing review and evaluation of program outcomes result in improvement of service delivery.Pathway of Hope and Case Management SupportManage the implementation of Pathway of Hope throughout the region, including staff training and review of outcomes.Provide ongoing supervision and administrative oversight for assigned region in the implementation of Pathway of Hope Ensure quality of local data and reporting of information that will support national and territorial POH program outcomes. Maintain excellent communications among all parties within the Hope-Strong network.Ensure effective communication and mission effectiveness through weekly meetings with officers and program staff.Regularly meet with The Regional Management Team to review the implementation of Hope Strong strategy in order to capitalize on successes, address concerns and share best practices. Establish and maintain collaborative relationships throughout the regions in order to meet mission objectives.Support team building at Regional Team Meetings and Corps Officer led Team Meetings including (but not limited to) Corps Officers, Hope-Strong Team Facilitator, Corps Emergency Assistance Worker, Corps leadership, volunteers and key representatives from other SA programs.Resource DevelopmentStrengthen program ministries by actively seeking additional resources.Provide community and SA resources at Regional Team Meetings and Corps Team Meetings.Ensure quality of POH planning and implementation by participation with POH planning and program development at sites. Staff DevelopmentProvide professional support to staff through the training, tools and resources required to deliver quality services across the region.Plan, conduct and/or participate in Hope-Strong workshops and other training events at the territorial, divisional or local level, as requested and/or assigned. Clinical Intervention/Case Management SupportConsultation ServicesProvide case consultation to Corps Emergency Assistance Workers with crisis intervention (emergency assistance) and case management.Plan, coordinate and facilitate monthly Corps Emergency Assistance Worker meetings.Meet with Corps staff and Officers monthly to offer support and information regarding community linkages, programmatic requirements including intake processes, intervention strategies and collection of data needed to meet program-reporting requirements. Intra-Agency ResponsibilitiesEnsure relevance and consistency of Hope-Strong by collaborating with other Salvation Army units and personnel to successfully maintain and achieve policies and procedures, goals and objectives, and outcome-based measures related to Hope-Strong.Integrate the supportive services of the Emergency Housing and Referral Center (EHARC) throughout the region.Assist scaling of POH and learning agenda by collaborating with the Director of Emergency Assistance Case Management, Divisional Social Services Director and the Hope-Strong Ministries Director and other organizations for the purposes of further development of POH model. Community RelationsAttends inter-agency meetings and participates in local networks, as appropriate with local staff.Maintains working relationships with community agencies to provide comprehensive services for participants and to stay abreast of current trends and resources available. Continuing EducationParticipates in professional seminars, conferences and other meetings for Continuing Education Units, to increase professional knowledge.Maintains an active interest and involvement in the social work field, and incorporates new developments into practice whenever possible.May prepare written material for presentation or publication. This should be done with the knowledge and consent of the Divisional Social Services Director.Maintains current knowledge of legislation that affects social work practice.Plan, conduct and /or participate in POH workshops and other training events at the territorial, divisional or local level, as requested and/or assigned. Maintain a POH trained personnel database, updating all information quarterly following command POH evaluation reviews of each unit. Provide supervision for social work student interns, as requested and/or assigned. Additional Duties as assigned.
