Job Description

Job Description:

Chemistry Laboratory Technician who will be responsible for chemical testing by following FDA standards and requirements.

Efficiently and accurately perform testing and conduct food analysis in our clinical laboratory.

Perform chemical testing by accurately following all SOP's and laboratory methods.

Participate in Quality Control testing such as moisture analysis, % ash, salt titration, % acidity, ether fat extractions, pH, water activity, extractable color- UV-vis, bulk density, etc.

Participate in Quality Control tests on proficiency samples and any other check samples deemed appropriate.

Perform routine lab testing with accurate and timely recording of test results and utilize lab reference materials for testing.

Correctly maintain all records relevant to the preparation and standardization of all reagents.

Identify and communicate any out-of-specification or abnormal test results with Supervisor/ Lab Management.

Assist in the maintenance of quality system records to comply with all accrediting agencies.

Responsible for clean up in the lab including washing glassware and maintaining laboratory inventory.

Submit accurate and timely results based on the analysis.

Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in chemistry or related scientific field.

0-1 years of basic chemistry testing experience from school lab coursework, internships, industry, etc.

Ideal applicant will have had prior work experience in any fast pace setting (for example: retail, restaurants, servicing, etc.)
