Description:

Our client in the food industry is seeking a lab technician to perform wet chemistry product testing, equipment inspections and perform audits. They will spend 65% of their day performing testing in the laboratory and 35% on the floor (manufacturing/shipping) doing inspections.

Responsibilities Include:

• Perform sensory, physical and chemical tests on finished products
• Cook-ups and organoleptic reviews on raw materials and finished goods to ensure they meet requirements
• Organoleptic properties are the aspects of food, water or other substances that an individual experiences via the sensesincluding taste, sight, smell, and touch
• Records test data and maintain lab work list in LIMS system
• Report non conformance with immediate corrective actions in LIMS system
• Inspections of manufacturing equipment, storage equipment and sanitation cleaning
• Follow proper GMPs and GLPs
• Assist in Raw Material testing, COA review and COA filling

Qualifications:

• Associates or Bachelors Degree in Sciences
• Wet Chemistry experience
• NO Food Allergies (required to taste test)
• Read/Write English
