Responsibilities ofCaregiver Position:

• Provide non-medical (personal and companionship care) to seniors in their homes
• Follow the clients serviceplan to assist the client in maintaining a healthful, safe environment
• Examples of tasks caregivers will assist with include but are not limited to, personal hygiene assistance, grooming, medication reminders, meal preparation, light housekeeping, assistance with errands, providing transportation
• Establish and maintain positive, open, and trusting communication/relationships with seniors, family members, and fellow team members
• Abide by the agencys policies and procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements/Qualifications ofCaregiver Position:

• Must be at least 18 Years of Age
• Must have at least a high school diploma or GED
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Must possess a valid drivers license and valid auto insurance
• Must have a reliable, consistent means of transportation
• Must treat and care for seniors and their property with dignity and respect
• Must have the ability to communicate in both a professional and friendly manner
• Must be trustworthy and honest
• Must be able to work constructively as part of a team
• Must comply with both state and agency required checks and screenings
• Must be willing to work possible nights and/or weekends
• Must have current CPR certification, first aid training prior to first assignment
• Must have completed IL required training courses and have proof of training
