Our client is a local manufacturer of high-pressured valves and joints that serve a variety of industries including renewable energy and machine & tool customers. They seek to add a Quality Engineer as business continues to increase and plans to keep building the Manufacturing department.

Our client is a local manufacturer of high-pressured valves and joints that serve a variety of industries including renewable energy and machine & tool customers. They seek to add a Quality Engineer as business continues to increase and plans to keep building the Manufacturing department.

Description

  • Conduct audits internally and externally within the frameworks of the company QMS and ISO standards to improve business processes
  • Lead and coordinate product qualification plans including development of: PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow charts, Process Capability Studies, Gage R&R and other PPAP-related requirements
  • Investigate process and product quality issues and work with value streams and suppliers to determine root cause and implement and verify corrective actions* Record customer complaints for the purposes of facilitating root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
  • Drive improvement of quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by identifying and solving problems affecting all aspects of the business, gathering, analyzing, and summarizing quality data, and supporting continual improvement of all functions in the supply chain
  • Work with value streams to analyze and determine nonconforming material causes
  • Actively participate in final design reviews to mitigate potential risks and ensure manufacturability of product
  • Analyze product returns to determine product design or process modification needs

Profile

A successful Quality Engineer will have the following:

  • Bachelor degree (engineering or technical field)
  • 3-5 years of experience and been in/around a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to lead Root Cause Analyses andimplement CAPAs
    • 8D, 5Why, Fishbone
  • Working knowledge of internal audits and how to assist

Nice to Have Skills:

  • ISO 9001:2015 experience
  • CNC or CMM knowledge

Job Offer

  • Base salary range between $70,000 to $85,000 (dependent on experience)
  • 401(k) match up to 3%
  • 12% company bonus (discretionary)
