Job Description
This is a remote US based position.

The Item Master Data (IMD) team is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and overall accuracy of data entered into the Material Master.

The Data Management Analyst is responsible for leading data-driven projects that focus on improving quality, availability, and governance of master data records. The Data Analyst may be assigned specific focus domains or take on more generalized tasks as needed. Requires collaboration with team members, Information Systems, Product Divisions, and other business units, and communication with various levels of management.

Focus Domains:
Data Synchronization - Maintenance, assignment, and reporting of GTIN data, and governance of GS1 standards
Country of Origin - Collection, maintenance, and reporting of data pertaining to the origin of Medline products
Programs and Systems - Lead contact for various programs developed and maintained by Central Data for collection and entry of master data; liaison to I/S and programming teams
SQL - write ad hoc queries




Responsibilities
  • Understand the impact of master data changes within Medline%26rsquo;s product life cycle. Anticipate downstream consequences of change on other business areas and systems.
  • Communicate and coordinate internally any changes or upcoming initiatives that will require additional data governance, data validations or process improvements
  • Establish an audit and resolution process to evaluate existing data
  • Serve as a consultant to the product divisions to assist them with gathering data and providing accurate information
  • Explore new opportunities with various business partners where IMD can improve processes or access to data. (Product Divisions, Inventory Management, Operations, Quality, etc)
  • Preparing and delivering training to business users

Education & Relevant Work Experience
  • Bachelor%26rsquo;s degree and at least 1-3 years of experience in analytical experience OR
  • High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience in data management
Additional Experience
  • Must currently have authorization to work in the United States
  • Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions.
  • Experience processing all relevant details, understanding and prioritizing their importance and drawing clear and concise conclusions.
  • Data visualization experience
  • Experience partnering with internal business partners
  • Experience taking the steps to ensure the assignment/ project is accomplished within tight timeframes.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel
  • Intermmediate skills using SQL

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Relevant Work Experience
  • Knowledge of SharePoint, Winshuttle, SAP, VBA (Excel macros), Access, SQL and Zendesk
  • Quality or regulatory experience
  • Project Management profiency
  • Experience developing ways of accomplishing goals with little or no supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives and determining when escalation of issues is necessary.
