We are a growing national retail lender with over 500+ employees nationwide and based out of Southern California. Founded over 30+ years ago, we are continuing to grow our team and currently seeking add a Remote DE Underwriter to our Southeast division.
The ideal candidate will have their active CHUMS ID, along with 203K loan experience. What You Will Be Doing
Evaluate and verify loan application/applicant data to determine if the client has the capacity to repay the mortgage loan according to investor/agency guidelines
Manage Approval and Condition Queue to maintain company published service standards
Publish Underwriting Dispositions, clear conditions, analyze Change Requests
Analyze risk as it relates to investment quality loans
Maintain complete knowledge of underwriting guidelines
Complete computer data entry as needed; i.e. Encompass, AUS systems, etc.
Communicate with the originator, per service standards; answer underwriting and product questions
Complete Underwriting Certifications, as necessary
Complete and deliver work products with the highest degree of customer service and accuracy

What You Need for this Position
- 5+ years of frontline retail underwriting experience
- DE Underwriter for at least 2+ years
- Active CHUMS ID
- Experience underwriting FHA, Conventional, and 203K loans (Preferred)
