Associate Job Description
Associates take a central role in supporting the evaluation, structuring, negotiation, and financing of transactions within the lower middle market.Working with a small deal team in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment, Associates have constant interaction with the most senior members of the fund.The group will be predominantly focused on direct minority equity transactions in addition toidentifying unique transactions across direct share sales, minority recapitalizations and partial sell downs,GP-Led continuation funds, etc
. Duties and responsibilities of an Associate typically include:
* Assume a lead role in the modeling, financial analysis and valuation of potential transactions
* Prepare presentations and investment memoranda for the Firm's analysis of transactions
* Play an integral role in the transaction team through the due diligence and closing process
* Support development of internal systems and processes for tracking, reporting, data
management, etc.
* Monitor investments, including quarterly reports and annual reviews
Preferred Experience/Skills
Two to five years of relevant financial industry experience will be considered - private
equity, investment banking, consulting, asset management, or financial/transaction
advisory services.
Academic coursework in finance, accounting, or economics
Superior analytical and financial modeling experience
