You will be faced with the challenge of building the new systems, processes, and analytics to best support strategic decision-making as the company continues to grow in complexity and size. We are improving the methods we use to forecast and analyze our operating expenses and changing the way we track key investments being made across the business. This role will involve partnering with teams across the organization to drive planning cycles, reporting, controls, and analytics. Job Details
The Senior Financial Analyst supports the business in all aspects of planning, forecasting, reporting, budgeting, and business decision support for designated businesses.
Is your background a fit? Apply if you meet these criteria:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in finance, accounting, or analytical role required
- Strong data analysis, financial modeling, and presentation skills
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Capacity to perform at a high level in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment
- Action-oriented - enjoys working towards goals/deadlines
- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
- Interpersonal skills allowing for a challenging and constructive engagement with all management levels of the organization
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office with expert-level Excel skills. SQL experience is a plus. Assist in special projects as assigned by management.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Performs planning, forecasting, and budgeting activities in a timely and accurate manner.
- Lead ad hoc analytical requests across sales, partner, marketing, and operations to provide insights and power decisions
- Provides weekly updates on performance to targets from a financial and pricing perspective.
- Develop and finalize KPI dashboards for the management team and for the larger company.
- Prepares financial reports and statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system, consolidation and reporting system, and various subsystems in use at Atkore.
- Analyzes results and report variances against budget and expectations. Recommend corrective actions as indicated by performance to meet P&L and working capital targets.
- Assist in the creation of bottom-up and top-down financial projections.
- Monthly analysis and discussion of financial KPIs.
- Participates in key business initiatives, prepare "what - if" scenarios on certain business levers, perform benchmarking and other ad-hoc projects as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
