Job Description

Your role

Are you great working with numbers? Do you have a solid fund accounting background or can you demonstrate similar fund related experiences within the financial industry and are you in possession of sharp analytical skills? Are you detail-oriented, precise in your working style and motivated to understand interdependencies and to question them?

We are looking for a Portfolio Treasury Analyst to:

  • obtain an understanding of the various prime broker structures, financing and margin models applied by our prime brokers
  • assist with Equity Finance related tasks at the prime brokers, including US and Foreign cash management
  • prepare reporting related to OTC Counterparty exposure
  • validate accuracy of prime brokerage borrow fees and financing accruals on daily basis
  • actively monitor and reconcile margin requirements, margin excess and facilitate cash movements
  • obtain an understanding of how the equity finance reporting flows into the various regulatory reports across the platform
  • track and analyze broker commissions and soft dollars for the platform.
  • produce balance allocation reporting and ad hoc reporting for senior management
  • be responsible for the daily reconciliation of prime brokerage financing costs vs internal system. Investigate discrepancies and work with counterparties to resolve
  • ensure that primary treasury management system is ready for use each morning. Load any missing files accordingly
  • manage credit lines, including initial draw requests, rollover or paydown existing draws. Actively communicate with front office on any upcoming funding needs. Instruct payment of interest payments on credit lines

Your expertise

  • strong communication skills
  • undergraduate degree, preferably Finance related
  • detail oriented
  • strong analytical skills and ability to ask targeted questions
  • comfortable manipulating and analyzing large amounts numerical data.
  • proficient in Excel in a Windows environment.
  • 2-5 years experience in a finance function. Preferably with experience in the fund management or financial services businesses.
