This position is responsible for annual budget development and monitoring of the Operations Home Area, including Development, Office of the Secretary and Office of the Treasurer. Ensures timely accounting for variances, reconciliation of accounts, billing of receivables and fulfillment of payables. Assists in budgeting for gift planning partnerships and the application of endowment fund fees, charitable gift annuity and charitable trust fees against fund development programs. Responsibilities include:
  • Annual Expenditure Budget Development for all Operations Home Areas
  • Budget monitoring and accounting for variances in Operations Home Area
  • Support to Fundraising Programs and reporting on the Fundraising Model
  • Revenue budget development, monitoring and forecasting
  • Coordination with all Operations Home Area Cost Center Managers
  • Planned giving partnership and deployed staff budget and accounting
  • General administrative support to unit and other duties as required
Experience and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; 5-7 years' experience in accounting/finance field. CPA and/or MBA preferred
  • Strong knowledge of budget planning and financial management
  • Significant ability to analyze, interpret and organize financial data and information.
  • Proficiency in computer-based financial systems, experienced with Workday financial system preferred.
  • Strong time management and aptitude for detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to work collegially, responsively and confidently.
  • Ability to effectively manage subordinate staff.
