Job Description

Under administrative direction, with a high level of autonomy, uses specialized knowledge of the banking industry and skills obtained through education and experience to maintain and develop business relationships with assigned institutions, bank holding companies and high net worth clients. Manages all aspects of assigned accounts including advising clients on investment opportunities and recommending buying and selling of securities. Leverages unique relationships with executives of bank holding companies gained through market making activities to cross sell other products and services provided by the company. Works independently on complex assignments that are broad in nature, requiring originality and ingenuity with substantial latitude for un-reviewed actions or decisions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

*Maintains constant contact with the key executives of assigned bank holding companies to discuss macroeconomic market trends and updates on their institutions common stock.

*Works closely with clients investment personnel, advises clients on investment opportunities, and recommends buying and selling of securities.

*Works closely with management teams to help communicate "their story" to institutional investors and other potential buyers of their common stock.

*Develops and maintains relationships with institutional clients and fellow internal professionals to facilitate efficient and effective client service.

*Disseminates timely marketing materials for equity products and services targeted at institutional investors.

*Responds to inquiries from institutional investors about the department's investment philosophies, products and services.

*Develops sales goals and strategies to achieve goals incorporating suitability parameters derived from individual client investment policy statements where applicable.

*Maintains a list of buyers and sellers of individual stocks and communicates frequently to the principal traders.

*Actively leverages relationships in the banking space to identify and build relationships with high net worth individuals that buy bank stocks.

*Attends meetings and /or conferences to present the company and its investment ideas to institutional clients, bank holding company managements and boards of directors, and individual investors related to those organizations

*Stays abreast of financial news/issues that may affect stock and bond prices.

*Tracks and reviews performance on assigned accounts to ensure adding value.

*Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

Knowledge of:

*Advanced knowledge of the entire product and service suite provided by the company.

*Advanced concepts, practices and procedures of research analysis.

*Advanced investment concepts, practices and procedures used in the securities industry.

*Advanced concepts, practices, and procedures of institutional equity sales, private clients sales & sales trading.

*Principles of banking and finance and securities industry operations.

*Financial markets and products.

Skill in:

*High level customer service.

*Identifying relationships draw logical conclusions and interpret results for use in decision-making.

*Using technical/professional knowledge, interpersonal and sales skills to obtain customers' commitment to ideas, services, or products.

*Quantitative and analytical skills sufficient to assist in the development of corporate financial projections and equity valuation metrics.

*Analyzing and interpreting financial statements.

*Strong written and verbal communication skills.

*Operating standard office equipment and using required software application to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, and spreadsheets.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:

*Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field and a minimum of seven (7) years of institutional equity sales experience.

or

*Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.

Licenses/Certifications:

* SIE required provided that an exemption or grandfathering cannot be applied.

*FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses required.
