New Position - Financial Analyst

Our dynamic, rapidly growing company in a vibrant downtown Chicago setting is seeking a full-time Financial Analyst to fill a new role due to organizational growth. This is an opportunity to be part of a unique and exciting organization. The Financial Analyst will report to the Vice President of Finance and Chief Operating Officer.

Job Summary

The position provides operational and financial planning support. Support includes providing monthly financial updates, assisting with the preparation and presentation of budget, forecast and monthly financial results to leadership along with assisting in pricing and communication across all functions.


Primary Job Duties

  • Assist the predictive modeling that supports data-driven decision making for leaders in both clinical and administrative settings.
  • Support financial statement preparation process including supporting analysis and providing succinct variance explanations for senior leadership.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget, interim financial forecasts, and analysis which includes the following: Collect, organize, review, and summarize for senior leadership new program investments to assist management in decision-making and prioritization of funding.
  • Model, collect, organize, review, and summarize - for senior leadership - information from the prior year budget or forecast ensuring proper classification of costs and reconciliation to financial statements.
  • Manage invoice and payment process in conjunction with accounting department.
  • Develop and continually enhance processes for improved operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with data and clinical teams for the streamlining of projects.
  • Contribute to development and implementation of clinical and operational value-based payment initiatives.
  • Participate with review and implementation of contracts.


Candidate Requirements

  • Demonstrated depth of knowledge and proficiency in Financial Planning and Analysis functions.
  • Solid technical accounting background.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (VLOOKUP's, pivot tables, etc.), PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable interacting with executive-level personnel.
  • Project management experience preferred.


Required Education:Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
