Substitute Teacher: Carries out the lesson plans in the absence of the regular classroom teacher and performs the duties of teaching in accordance
with district's philosophy, goals, and objectives as outlined in laws and policies. Instructs assigned classes in designated locations and times.
Establishes and maintains order in the classroom. Maintains a classroom environment conducive to effective learning. Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, materials, equipment, and facilities. Assists in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and board policies. Establishes and maintains cooperative relations with other employees and students.
Reporting to the principal or his/her designee at the beginning and end of the school day.
Education
Bachelor's degree required.
Experience
Experience working with students with learning disabilities preferred.
