Position Title: Police Officer (Certified and Entry-level)

The Village of Schaumburg is now hiring for Police Officer!  All candidates must take the FrontLine National Exam through National Testing Network prior to the application deadline.  All applicants must also submit an electronic application with the Village of Schaumburg at https://career4.successfactors.com/sfcareer/jobreqcareer?jobId=12741&company=Schaumburg.    In accordance with Illinois State Statute, the Board of Fire and Police Commission hires certified candidates ahead of non-certified candidates.

 

Salary:
Starting salary: $72,757 based on a 40-hour work week.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in any field.  Successful completion of police examination and physical requirements.  Applicants, at such time as they file their application with this board, must be at least 21 years of age.  Applicants shall be under 35 years of age, at the time of application and at such time as the final eligibility list is posted, unless exempt from such age limitation as provided in Section 5/10-2.1-6 of the Fire and Police Commissioner's Act.  Must be a United States Citizen.  Possession of a valid driver's license.  Ability to obtain a valid POWER Card dated after 03/31/2024 (entry-level candidates only).

Selection Process:
Candidate hiring process consists of an application review, passing the FrontLine National Exam, polygraph, interview with the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners,  background investigation, medical evaluation and job related verifications.
