Job Description Summary | The Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology (MSSLP) program in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences invites applications for adjunct instructors. These are part-time, as needed appointments. Instructors with the following areas of expertise are encouraged to apply: anatomy and physiology of speech, language and swallowing; augmentative and alternative communication; speech and hearing science; aural rehabilitation; voice disorders; fluency disorders; motor speech disorders; pediatric dysphagia and feeding disorders. Other areas of expertise within the discipline may be considered. Some courses will be offered via distance learning, while others will be offered face-to-face. Instructors of online courses are required to complete training in online course delivery provided through the University. |

Responsibilities | Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University’s Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education. -Developing and teaching didactic academic courses in the SLP curriculum, including undergraduate prerequisite and graduate courses |
Minimum Qualifications | Earned masters or doctoral degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or Speech-Language Pathology. Evidence of at least 5 years of clinical experience, including expertise in area to be instructed. Must hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech-language pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and must hold the Illinois state speech-language pathology license. |
Preferred Qualifications | History of university teaching experience preferred. |
