As a Software Engineer Intern, you will gain valuable knowledge and exposure to our technology team and leadership. Collaborate with high-energy teams to help deliver high-quality results. We are eager to attract the best, so we offer competitive compensation. This 10 to 12-week internship program will take place in one of multiple locations during the summer of 2023.

What you'll do on a typical day:

  • Develop software using technologies such as .Net, C#, MS SQL Server, Google Cloud Platform, and more
  • Participate in development of APIs to support web applicatons
  • Act as a catalyst to building frameworks and supporting application infrastructure
  • Work as an active member of the Enterprise Architecture team in the development and support of complex distributed systems
  • Apply best coding practices and standards
  • Work in an agile start-up environment with daily standups and continuous integration

What you need to succeed at RXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • Pursuing BS, MS, or PhD in a STEM-based field (ie. Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Economics, Applied Math, Statistics, etc.)

It'd be great if you also have:

  • Class status as a junior (3rd year) or greater
  • 2 or more years of relevant software development coursework
  • Development experience with at least one object-oriented programming language such as Java or C# preferably Java.
  • Development experience with one of the JavaScript frameworks (Angular, AngularJS, ReactJS, VueJS, etc.) is a plus
  • Experience in web, mobile and responsive design is a plus
  • Solid technical competency in coding and testing; good object-oriented programming language skills
  • A portfolio that reflects intuitive, functional and original design
  • Self-motivated and able to work well with minimal supervision or in a team environment; consult with team members and management as needed
  • Ability to be open-minded and receptive to feedback in an intellectually rigorous environment
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve problems
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to multitask
  • Great verbal and written communication skills
