This position can be 100% Remote or Hybrid for local candidates.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, architect, provision, and allocate underlying cloud infrastructure, including networking, compute, and storage by leveraging public cloud technologies to provide improved product resiliency and self-serving ability to other product teams.
- Implement and optimize foundational platforms with the Cloud using Infrastructure-as-Code, Policy-as-Code and other automation to drive consistency, repeatability, sustainability and auditability
- Develop and establish processes, procedures, and automation to support patching & monitoring of cloud-based environments
- Self-starter with the ability to independently resolve issues and deliver results
- Develops and promotes infrastructure technology standards through automation and service-based development.
- Document and drive issues through resolution, escalating to stake holders, and IT management as necessary.

Education
Minimum of a 4 Year / Bachelors Degree or Computer Science/Information Technology or relevant
Experience
Minimum Years of Experience
5 Enterprise DevOps, Cloud platform operations, SRE experience
5 Building and managing large enterprise grade cloud-based platforms
4 Proven administrative experience in large AWS/Azure Cloud environments
3 Hands-on experience building Infrastructure as Code using Terraform & Cloud Formation Tools
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience with Configuration Management tools (Ansible, Chef, etc.)
- Experience with CI/CD pipeline orchestration (Code Pipeline, GitHub actions, etc.)
- Proficiency working with containers and container orchestration (i.e., Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with one or more scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell)
- Experience with networking principles and technologies (DNS, Load Balancers, Reverse Proxies, etc.)
- Familiarity with High Availability and Disaster Recovery principles, patterns, and usage
- An ability to articulate fundamental security practices when operating in cloud environment to maintain secure environments
- Understanding of what DevOps patterns consist of and how to implement/define them
- Ability to troubleshoot operation issues with knowledge of IP networking, DNS, TGW and Linux operating systems
- Proficient in EC2/VPC configurations
- Experience with agile processes for PM, development, and tracking
- Awareness of on-premises virtualization technologies (i.e., VMware)
- Bonuses to have:
- AWS Solutions Architect Certification or other platform certifications
- Experience in serverless architecture, deployment, and support
- Understanding of Security/Compliance/Management in AWS
