Job/Internship Description

Position Title: Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Intern

Position Type: Internship

Duration: 3-6 months

Location: Unit 2: Hauppauge, New York

Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our pharmaceutical manufacturing team as an intern. As a member of the team, you will be involved in various aspects of the manufacturing process, including but not limited to, process development, manufacturing, quality control, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and optimization of manufacturing processes.
  • Participate in the execution of batch records for the manufacture of drug products.
  • Conduct analytical testing and analysis of drug products and raw materials.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of written procedures such as standard operating procedures (SOPs), operating instructions, cleaning procedures, safety procedures, and other work procedures as needed.
  • Participate in equipment maintenance and calibration activities.
  • Assist in the review and compiling of the documents generated during the manufacturing of tablets and capsules such as Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR) and validation protocols.
  • Assist in investigations of manufacturing deviations and non-conformances.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to complete all activities according to established timelines and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of cGMPs and other relevant regulations and guidelines is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
