Description

**HOURS: 7a-7p**

The Admin Tech/Phlebotomist performs unit-based reception, clerical, and medical record functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Is customer oriented and able to communicate with all levels of staff, patients and their families.
  • Serves as liaison between patient care units and all other departments.
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living. 
  • Performs duties and responsibilities that fall into their standards of performance and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the registered nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum experience must encompass (1) of the following:
  • Current Student in a relevant field of study, Medical Assistant, Paramedic,   EMT-B, or CNA 
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Healthcare/Basic medical terminology.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both
    verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to assess and determine situations requiring an interpreter
    and to use interpreter services effectively.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Preferred:

  • Additional languages preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
