Job Description Summary
The MSOT program at Lewis University is seeking outstanding clinicians and educators for adjunct positions for the 2023-2024 academic year. Ideal applicants will have clinical expertise in any of the following areas: mental health, OT theory, day programs, biomechanics, pediatrics, evidence based practice, and fieldwork supervision in community based settings. . Rank and salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience.

Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University’s Mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education.

.-Teach courses and/or supervise Level I fieldwork students in areas of documented expertise
-Foster an educational environment that is supportive of the Lasallian Mission.
Minimum Qualifications
An earned Masters degree from an institution that is accredited by a USDE-recognized regional accrediting body; minimum of three years documented clinical practice as an occupational therapist with a demonstrated knowledge of current occupational therapy practice; a current and valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation; superior written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills needed for working with diverse stakeholders on and off campus. Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as an occupational therapist in the State of Illinois and have initial NBCOT certification. Applicant should be proficient with computer technology and possess strong organization skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Doctorate (OTD, DrOT, EdD, PhD), prior university teaching experience, familiarity with adult learning theories, subject-centered philosopy.
