***Currently hiring a 1st and 2nd shift lead clerk for VAS.

 

POSITION SUMMARY

Provides support and backup to Supervisor. Controls workflow within the department supporting all internal and external customers.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (The following statements describe the general nature of work being performed in this job. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by management):

  • Monitors daily workflow for department
  • Adjusts personnel to accommodate workflow.
  • Researches problem orders.
  • Completes administrative reports including the gathering of production records, maintaining reports of problem orders, making VAS adjustments, and ensuring that problem orders are handled in a timely manner to meet SLA's.
  • Performs all job functions within the department as required.
  • Maintains attendance and performance records.
  • Monitors safety requirements.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibility.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school graduate or equivalent and one to three years of experience.
  • PC skills. Ability to use sensitizing equipment, glue machines, and card cutters. Solid technical knowledge of VAS and B&T policies and procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and speak effectively to customers or employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally sit; use hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and lift/move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision requirements include close and distance vision.

 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
