MANAGER OF FLEET SERVICES

Starting Salary: $86,520.00
Successful candidates must pass a drug screen and a background investigation. Persons offered employment must pass all pre-employment exams prior to appointment.
Under direction, the Manager of Fleet Services will serve as the direct contact for Police, Fire, OEMC, and OPSA vehicle management. OPSA will work with each of the departments to maintain all vehicles currently assigned to the Public Safety Departments and will be responsible for projecting future fleet needs. The Manager of Fleet Services under OPSA will be the main point of contact with DTI ensuring all vehicles are serviced, repaired, decommissioned, purchased, and accounted for. The Manager of Fleet Services will be responsible for putting together the year-to-year vehicle needs, and projected cost requirements based on each departments' priorities. OPSA will be responsible for working with both the Office of Budget Management and DTI to secure funding and procure the vehicles. There are approximately 4,000 vehicles assigned to Police, Fire, OEMC, and OPSA.

HOURS: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
THIS POSITION IS EXEMPT FROM THE CAREER SERVICE.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in Automotive Technology, Automotive Engineering Technology, Automotive Management or a directly related field, plus five years of work experience in the coordination and management of computerized inventory control systems of which three years of experience are in a supervisory role related to the responsibilities of the position, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
