Christ Hospital Neurosurgery is recruiting for a Physician Assistant to join one of the Top Neuroscience Programs in the state of Illinois.

  • Must desire working nights in an autonomous work environment and be motivated to learn from multiple providers
  • Will work with a large collaborative team composed of 5 attendings 13 surgical PAs and Neurosurgery residents
  • Perform medical services overnight on weekdays and weekends for Neurosurgical and Neurointerventional patients in support of the medical plan and follow up care needs
  • Serve as First Assist in the OR when necessary
  • Assist with coding and billing compliance
  • Participate in clinical integration and quality management
  • Three-12 hour shifts per week

Position Requirements:

  • Master's Degree or equivalent as a Physician Assistant effective January 1 2018, 1 year PA experience in the relevant setting preferred
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with an Electronic Medical Record
  • Current Certification (NCCPA)Current licensure in the State of Illinois Current Illinois Controlled Substance License within 6 months of hire
  • Eligible for DEA registration Possession of a current DEA Registration within six months of hire and may vary based on practice site
  • Current BLS Certification Current PALS/ACLS certification may vary based on practice site
