Job Description
The warranty coordinator will provide effective administrative and technical management oversight for warranty service requests of completed projects, including coordinating workers, material, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget in an expedient and professional manner.

Uphold the core values of the company. Exceed client expectations and promptly resolve warranty requests. Provide support to the Warranty Team as required through excellent customer service. Thoroughly document warranty service requests to meet corporate company goals and objectives. Maintain knowledge of common warranty issues and recommended repairs.

As warranty coordinator you will:
  • Responsible for logging and handling warranty and service calls by gathering preliminary information and documentation ensuring accuracy for all warranty issues.
  • Arrange for third party testing and inspections when investigation and/or conditions dictate. 
  • Notify subcontractors of warranty service requests related to their work and schedules/coordinates and monitors the status of subcontractor activities to ensure closeout of outstanding warranty claims.  
  • Responsible for tracking, gathering and disseminating reports, data and information as it relates to warranty items.
  • Assist in closing out warranty items to verify completion of service calls and customer satisfaction. 
  • Generate reports of pending warranty items to project teams and management.
  • Assist in managing McHugh Warranty Team activities related to warranty service calls. 
  • Interface effectively with clients and developers, consultants, vendors, subcontractors, construction field supervisors, and management regarding warranty issues.
  • Assist in identifying deviations from contract documents and implement corrective measures to correct deficiencies.
  • Collaborate effectively with other internal departments and employees including safety, accounting, legal, human resources, and marketing.
  • All other duties as assigned. 
To be successful in this position, you will:
  • A minimum of 5 to 8 years of handling warranty and service claims, plus 5 to 8 years progressive experience/knowledge of construction, design, and repair work required. 
  • Effective at managing Client relationships to achieve corporate objectives.
  • Ability to diagnose problems quickly and resolve them efficiently.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on vital project activities.
  • Superior customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.).
