McHugh seeks a qualified marketing professional to join our team. As marketing manager/senior marketing coordinator, you will oversee the process of developing and producing marketing and business development materials in support of our company goals. You will oversee and ensure the completion of the day-to-day functions of the marketing department by organizing and completing marketing projects including proposal coordination and production, presentation development and production, and employee, client and special event planning. You will also provide support to the vice president of marketing and business development.
As marketing manager/senior marketing coordinator, you will:
Coordinate, write, and produce winning responses to requests for proposals and qualifications for private and public sector clients including reviewing RFPs and RFQs, meeting with project executives/project managers to determine approach and strategy, communicating with other proposal team members as needed including architects and engineers, writing and editing copy, developing proposal layout and graphics, producing and binding proposals.
Develop, manage, and prepare client-directed presentations for and assist presentation teams with strategy and rehearsal for presentations; assist in development and preparation of informational and industry-related presentations for trade shows and conferences.
Collaborate directly with executive management staff in planning and coordinating a wide range of marketing support activities to communicate a consistent company message. Oversee the overall management of the company’s CRM system.
Work with the VP of business development, other executives, and external public relations firm to strategize and create brand image and awareness programs that are consistent, distinctive and highlight McHugh’s value proposition from the competition.
Create/organize/update/manage internal marketing and business development resources including employee resumes, project information sheets, standard methodology/project approach narratives and graphics, internal/external photos and video of projects, etc.
Track, update, and submit new/existing corporate memberships, prequalifications, registrations, etc. with assorted public agencies, private developers, and industry organizations.
Perform some public relations activities including award submittals and industry surveys; act as liaison between company and the media, including coordination with external public relations firm.
Maintain and create content for company website using WordPress and company intranet including project highlights, staff features, new project announcements, etc.
Oversee promotional messaging and distribute via social media; manage and monitor company’s social media and Google channels. Collect associated data to further develop effective solutions/campaigns.
Direct and organize the production of the employee newsletter and client newsletter.
Evaluate and gain approval for all requests by the media for interviews and information on the company, its employees, and projects.
Direct the planning, organizing, and hosting of certain corporate events including employee functions and company-sponsored events.
Analyze long-term needs of the company’s media strategy alongside market information/results from pursuits to identify strengths and weaknesses and offer reports/recommendations to further enhance the company.
Develop and execute overall marketing strategies in support of long-term company goals.
Actively involved in professional and community organizations, including SMPS.
Other duties and responsibilities as required.
To be successful in this position, you will need:
Bachelor’s degree required (marketing, communications, or English).
Minimum of five years of related experience, preferably in the A/E/C industry.
Experience working with teams to develop marketing and branding programs, completing market research, developing proposals, and gaining management approval for these programs.
Excellent organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills essential. Position requires a high level of client/internal team interaction, so strong interpersonal skills are essential.
Proficient in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.). Experience/expertise with Cosential CRM and its integration to InDesign/Word is desired.
Adept at online marketing and administration of social media messaging, including the use of content management software such as WordPress and Joomla.
Data analysis skills and the ability to develop future marketing strategies and plans from gathered data.
Graphics design background, ability to create themed visuals/graphics, and video editing/production experience is a plus.
Must be able to effectively manage multiple projects and responsibilities.
Ability to work well independently and with others under strict deadlines.
Possess the ability to convey the McHugh brand to the marketplace in a variety of styles (technical, journalistic, persuasive, academic, and social).
Highly detail oriented, self-motivated, creative, enthusiastic, and flexible.
Continuous learner with the desire to explore and enact new approaches to day-to-day tasks is desired.
Willing to travel to regional offices and jobsites quarterly or monthly (as required) to support marketing efforts and conduct project updates/reviews.
