In the role of Senior Engineer-Engine Design  in Waukesha, you responsible for providing engineering input to the product development projects within the Air Cooled Engines team. This role will be working on multiple projects within a small team doing hands on work with our products.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to perform detail oriented work with a high degree of accuracy on multiple projects
  • Experience in new engine design and development
  • Ability to translate technical information to all audiences
  • MS Excel, MS Word
  • Experience with CAD
  • Proficient in applying GD&T, performing stack-ups and reviewing drawings
  • Capable of performing analyses using classical techniques
  • Conduct DFMEAs, design reviews and failure investigations

Minimal Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related discipline;
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience;

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of internal combustion engines 
  • Experience with Creo and Windchill
  • Experience with machine design, castings, forgings and plastics
  • Demonstrated written communication and presentation skills
  • Previous experience with SAP or equivalent ERP
  • Applies engineering knowledge and experience to improve products, services and processes
  • Demonstrated data analysis and control/diagnostic feature creation skills
  • Familiarity with systems engineering based problem solving
  • Proven ability to work well with others as part of a diverse global team

                                      

Physical demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.  The employee is regularly required to stand and walk.  On occasion the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders.  The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision and ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
