The Intern, Industrial Hygienist - Safety is responsible for understanding the techniques used in the industrial hygiene in order to collect and evaluate data, as well as apply regulatory and professional standards to protect the employees and the community. The role is initially performed side by side with the Manager, Industrial Hygiene to collect air and noise samples among Transportation, Engineering and Mechanical operations. After an initial orientation, the incumbent works independently and provides daily or weekly reports on the progress and the challenges incurred.Major ResponsibilitiesEvaluate Occupational Noise Exposures on CN Locomotives to Develop a Hearing Conservation Program for Transportation as per Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) standards
