Job Description
We are looking for a positive, upbeat Dental Assistant to join our growing team in Oakbrook, IL. This individual must have an upbeat personality, positive attitude, and work well in a team environment. The successful candidate must have an excellent work ethic, communication skills, computer knowledge, multi-tasking skills, willingness to take direction, desire to grow, and be a team player and a self-starter. Prior experience in the endodontic office would be beneficial.

We are offering $17/HR-$22/HR based on experience

Requirements

Specific Duties
  • Patient check In procedures
  • Escort patients to treatment rooms
  • Seat patients and ensure proper room set up for appointments
  • Show care and concern and help patients feel comfortable
  • Answer questions you are comfortable answering, find the answer to the ones you are not comfortable answering
  • Do not leave the patient unattended at the chair
  • Obtain patient's blood pressure
  • Take necessary radiographs
  • Anticipate and assist the doctor's needs at all times
  • Perform all clinical procedure as directed
  • Enter proper treatment notes into patient's record
  • Ensure patient's questions are answered before they leave
  • Escort the patient to check out
  • Patient Check Out procedures
  • Monitor patient flow
Operatory and Sterilization Room Management
  • Assist in completing start of day and end of day check list
  • Ensure all treatment rooms are properly stocked
  • Disinfect all treatment rooms following proper infection control guidelines and OSHA guidelines
  • Sterilize all instruments following proper infection control guidelines and OSHA regulations
  • Follow a preventative maintenance and cleaning schedule for all dental equipment
Inventory Management
  • Monitor inventory and follow established tag ordering system
  • Monitor and ensure all dental equipment is working properly
