Job Description
Position Overview:
Molex is seeking an experienced Senior Signal Integrity Engineer to design, model, analyze, and characterize high-speed connectors, cables, and systems. The Senior Signal Integrity you will act as a focal point in providing technical leadership and work with customers to develop application-specific solutions and provide technical support. You will conduct research on new and emerging areas of interconnects science.

This person will be joining a highly skilled and dynamic team within Molex. This person will work closely with electrical and mechanical PhD members of our group. This team has a top focus on innovation to help customers drive innovation and technical advancements. This person would have the opportunity to work on projects with top tech companies across the globe.

Essential Functions:
  • Discover and invent new techniques and methods in modeling, design, and measurement and recommend changes in designs or technical procedures.
  • Guide and direct the activities of multifunctional team(s) per the priorities set by engineering management on developing major new products.
  • Perform high-speed empirical and analytical signal integrity evaluations of interconnects. Work in laboratory environment to validate design and correlate measurement with simulations using VNA, TDR and Oscilloscope.
  • Provide development input to design teams, create electrical product models and documentation.
  • Analyze variation dependence and parametric optimization.

Position Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Applied Math.
  • 6+ years' SI design and simulation experience or 4+ years' SI experience with Master's Degree or higher.
  • 3+ years' experience using Ansys HFSS modeling; Ansys Designer or similar tool to create mode-to-measurement correlation, connector design and validation.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Applied Math.
  • 10+ years' SI design and simulation experience or 5+ years' SI experience with Master's Degree or higher.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Technical Team leadership.
  • Knowledge of Software CST, Agilent ADS & PLTS, Matlab.
  • Test and Measurement using VNA, TDR.
  • Standards committee participation, ability to mentor, technical papers published.
  • Communications system and hardware engineering experience.
