Trailer Bridge is looking for energetic, talented, self-motivated, go-getters to serve as Business Development Agents and act as partners to the company in securing new customers. The Business Development Agent will be responsible for generating new revenue through leads and potential customers via telephone and internet. Those leads can come from your personal friendships, professional colleagues, or cold calling. Our Business Development agents will experience a “Make it Happen” organization, fueled by passion and love for customers, which will aid you in your success to bring on new customers and make money FAST!

What you might do in a day:

  • Connect with personal and professional connections to find transportation opportunities
  • Utilize your business development skills to identify, qualify, obtain, and develop relationships with new customers
  • Prospect for customer leads to build a customer sales pipeline
  • Manage and grow existing accounts to maximize margin abilities
  • Utilize the sales pipeline system (CRM) for tracking sales function

What you’ll need:

  • Previous experience at companies in freight brokerage, shipping departments, asset trucking, LTL, intermodal, drayage, or 3PL’s (Third Party Logistics) is preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work well independently and with minimal supervision
  • Home office setup and equipment, including computer, internet, and phone
  • Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills
  • Individuals who are competitive, have a huge desire to WIN, and are self-motivated
  • Communication skills that are effective, persuasive, and convincing
  • Quick thinkers who make sound and efficient decisions
  • Sharp attention to detail
  • Energetic and positive attitude
