Medicare Advantage Sales Manager

Southeast location ideal (Atlanta) with a work from home option

The Medicare Advantage Sales Manager is responsible for the planning, reporting, quota setting and management, sales process optimization, sales program implementation, and recruiting and selection of sales talent.  Effectively lead a team of sales leaders and agents to achieve KPIs and revenue goals.  This role will lead and provide leadership and development to 8 team leaders with teams of 15-20 agents. Motivating a sales team & team leads to prospect for and enroll eligible clients in Medicare Advantage plans. Supervision of all sales activities related to distribution of resources, production reports, commission payouts, and mentoring of sales leaders on team.


  • Design, implement, and manage sales forecasting, planning and budgeting process. Ensure planning, forecasting and budgeting efforts are appropriately integrated with other planning processes within the organization
  • Provide leadership to the sales organization in implementing sales objectives that appropriately reflect the organization's goals
  • Define, implement and manage the optimal performance measurements and performance management programs required to ensure sales organization success & revenue goals
  • Meet or exceed assigned targets for profitable sales attainment, CPAs and other key financial performance objectives
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of Medicare
  • Recruit, select, coach and develop team leads & agents
  • Align reporting, training, and incentive programs with performance management priorities
  • Deliver Best-in-Class Customer Experience
  • Foster a culture of accountability, professional development, high performance, and ethical behavior


  • Minimum 5-7 years experience in Medicare Advantage space.
  • Minimum 5 years inside sales management experience.
  • Broad content knowledge in the Medicare Advantage space.
  • Broad content knowledge and understanding of top competitors in Medicare Advantage space.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct monthly, quarterly and annual sales planning & execute accordingly.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Advanced communication and relationship management skills.
  • Demonstrated strategic leadership skills are key, with proven verbal and written communications skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
  • Regular travel expected, minimum 30% (Post Covid)
