Purpose of the Job The Production Associate I will perform manufacturing functions associated with building Custom and or BTE Devices.
 
This position will be based out of Aurora, Illinois.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
  • May perform any or all of the following Custom device functions
  • Cut / Trim / Sanding
  • Lacquer
  • Tube Installation
  • Acoustical Testing
  • May perform any or all of the following BTE functions
  • BTE Assembly
  • BTE Repair
  • BTE Acoustical Testing
  • Invoicing
  • Packing
  • Kitting / Picking
  • Maintains workstation in a clean, safe, and orderly manner
  • Visually inspects product, identifies defects / rejects, and escalates issues as required
  • Performs general routine machine maintenance and daily workstation clean-up
  • Active participation in quality improvement processes
  • Initiates process improvements and motivates peers to achieve team goals
  • Meets established individual and team goals
  • Flex to various positions as business needs require

Qualifications need to have nice to have
Basic Education High School Diploma OR GED / equivalent  
Further Education    
Work Experience 1 – 3 years’ experience in manufacturing  
Personal Competencies -Flex to various positions as business needs require
-Able to follow and understand work instructions
-Demonstrated understanding of ESD and handling of material in accordance with established safety procedures
 
Social Competencies -Willingness to work in a team environment
-Good communication and interpersonal skills
 
Leadership Competencies   Ability to train others and use problem solving techniques.
Professional Competencies    
Language(s) / Level Ability to communicate and comprehend English  
IT skills Basic Computer skills  
Further Requirements -Excellent manual dexterity, use of small hand tools and light bench equipment
-Able to read small font
-Able to count, verify, and audit inventory locations
-Able to perform other duties as assigned
-Must be able to stand/walk for 1 hour and sit for 7 hours a day
-Lift weight of up to 20 lbs
-Repetitive motions using both hands
-Must have good vision and the
ability to work with hands and small pieces
