Komatsu is looking for a technical writer with a passion for technical communication, ready to help us redefine the user experience of our customers. This position is located at our Cartersville Customer Center which hosts year round distributor and customer events(or can be located at our Chattanooga, TN manufacturing operations) . In addition, this position has access to the equipment on our demo site and will be expected to partner with the Forest Product line Engineers at our Chattanooga Manufacturing Operations which is just an hour away from Cartersville. This is a great opportunity for an individual to gain exposure to many cross functional departments that include Engineering, Manufacturing, Service, Training and Product Managers.
The Technical Writer manages technical content development and delivery for operation manuals andservice technician manuals. They collaborate with engineers, field personnel, trainers, and more to ensure quality information for customers. They ensure that content is accurate, complete, and meets quality and style standards. Supports establishing writing standards and style guidelines. Supports researching innovative new solutions to legacy methods of writing to improve the customer experience. Support vendor management for writing support.
