Job Title: Business Support Analyst

Job Summary: EMCOR Mechanical Services has an immediate need for a Business Support Analyst in Downers Grove, IL who will assist in software implementations and provide support and training primarily, but not limited to, COINS (Accounting, Service Management, and Job Costing) software, as well as related mobile applications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Works with a team to provide advanced support and training for existing software application and assists in new implementations, primarily but not limited to the COINS ERP system.
  • Performs system configuration and testing for new implementations, as well as for system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Performs end user support by diagnosing issues, responding to queries, and finding root cause and solutions, then recording findings in the help desk ticket tracking software.
  • Develop training material and documentation to share with end users and communicate relative system changes and enhancements.
  • Communicates status of open actions to project leads/IT management and key business users.
  • Assists in maintaining user logins, passwords, and access within the established security guidelines.
  • Devises or modifies procedures to solve business problems considering computer systems capabilities and desired results.
  • Frequently interacts and follows up with internal customers, support team, and software vendor(s) as required in problem-solving, testing, and implementations.
  • Travel as required in support of the operating companies in order to gain a more intimate knowledge of business operations, assist in software implementations, and train end users.
  • Transfers knowledge and trains users and other members of IT on best use of feature/functions available in supported applications.

Qualifications:

  • Three (3+) years work experience with COINS or other HVAC Service / Construction industry related software
  • Four (4) year college degree and/or equivalent work experience
  • Experience supporting the some or all of the following modules: Job Cost, AR, A/P, Contract Billing, Work Order Management, HR and Payroll
  • Experience with Data Extraction and Report Writing tools such as Microsoft Access, Crystal Reports or similar software preferred
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills, self motivated, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage several simultaneous tasks using good time management
