First Transit is looking for Dispatch Supervisors in Denver, Colorado to provide day-to-day supervision to schedulers in the Transportation Department. Our Dispatch Supervisors works closely with the General Manager to ensure trips are distributed efficiently and in a timely manner. Ensures Dispatchers have the tools they need to perform. Monitors provider performance and handles real-time complaints. If you have the drive, confidence, and determination to succeed, First Transit is looking for you!

Our Dispatch Supervisors are responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing efficient routes across service area
  • Ensuring that trips are being distributed to all providers and that trip volume is commensurate with performance and fleet size
  • Supervising and evaluating Dispatchers
  • Proactively addressing issues with transportation with regards to service
  • Maintaining compliance with Company standards through direct and consistent observation
  • Addressing Transportation Provider performance issues
  • Supporting new providers to ensure retention
  • Ensuring Transportation Coordinators have the tools needed to successfully perform duties
  • Responding effectively and courteously to inquiries, special requests and/or complaints.
  • Providing reporting on Key Performance Indicators
  • Performing other duties and special projects as assigned
  • Must be available as the operation is 24 hours / 7 days per week

To qualify as a Dispatch Supervisor, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma or GED (Some college preferred)
  • Prior transportation scheduling, dispatch, or routing experience preferred
  • A minimum of two years supervisory experience
  • The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form with all levels of personnel
  • The ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions
  • The ability to handle escalated calls in a professional manner
  • To demonstrate great attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
  • High-energy and be self-motivated
  • Knowledge of local geography
  • Subject to a drug screen
