Job Summary:

To help the SGT program employees and students stay organized with lab supplies, equipment, and instrumentation in order to conduct and create an efficient work and learning space. Also to assist the program director in order to maximize students learning experience, and program efficiency.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Be punctual and reliable, eager to help, learn and participate. Collate, staple, and paper hole punch clinical documents for filing purposes. No computer skills needed at this time. Follow directions well when playing the role of an Operating Room employee (for the purposes of lab mock surgery set-ups).

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

According to the Federal Student Aid Handbook, in general, students are not permitted to work in work study positions during scheduled class times. Students who do not adhere to this policy will be subject to discipline up to and including termination. There are exceptions, for example, if an individual class is cancelled, the student may work during that time if the supervisor documents the exception.

Essential Duties:

1. Assist with cleaning and organizing lab supplies, equipment, and instrumentation

2. Help fold, package, and stock lab supplies

3. Assist (alongside an ECC instructor) in the role of an Operating Room employee during student lab/competency validations (during spring and fall semester only)

4. Assist with copying, collating, and stapling clinical paperwork

5. Assist with filing when needed

6. Other lab or filing duties as needed, if needed

Light (up to 25 lbs occasionally or 10 lbs frequently)

Close visual acuity (e.g. computer, assembly)
