The Shop Clerk performs administrative tasks to assist the maintenance function. First Transit is looking for people who are committed to providing our customers with the highest levels of quality and customer service.

Maintenance Clerk major responsibilities:

  • Manages web-based maintenance systems.
  • Input invoices into the computer system to ensure vendors are paid on time
  • Tracks and provides sufficient details to management on maintenance purchases.
  • Completes and files maintenance paperwork.
  • Inputs information on work orders.
  • Puts away parts and shop supply orders.
  • Answers phones and directs calls.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Maintenance Clerk requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Previous vehicle maintenance administrative experience required
  • Demonstrated ability of building solid relationships with superiors and peers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Subject to a drug test.
