Overview

The BPLP intern will work with various members of the BPLP and logistics teams to support new systems and processes in the delivery of energy products to our customers. This intern will also develop training materials for field personnel to learn how to build and run reports out of our systems.

Responsibilities
    Learn and develop processes to support our BP/LP field employees in the implementation of our new systems.
  • Export data from one system into Microsoft Excel and format for reporting and presentation.
  • Work to develop and implement systems training for field personnel.
  • Work directly with business units to assess and improve processes and reporting.
  • Work with business units to provide any necessary information they need to perform service or make deliveries (directions, order information, prices, etc.).
  • Build relationships with Customer Service Representatives and Drivers through exceptional communication skills.
  • Communicate with Logistics Team, Drivers, Customer Service Representatives, and Plant Managers as needed to confirm data integrity.
  • Participate in and contribute to MFA Oil's formalized internship program.
  • All MFA Oil employees are expected to know and adhere to company and position specific policies and procedures. While this job description contains the primary duties of the position, employees may be expected to perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • A current student or May graduate of current year, majoring in Agriculture, Business, Logistics, or related degree.
  • Must have computer knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Office products. An understanding of advanced formulas in Microsoft Excel (SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, VLOOKUP) is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills including the ability to train others and present in front of groups.
  • Knowledge of good workflow principles.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Frequent statewide and occasional regional travel is required to locations throughout the organization's footprint. Periodic overnight stays may be required.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language to communicate with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
  • Ability to meet Company requirements, including successful pre-employment background and drug test.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

  • Ability to perform detail work with accuracy and grasp new concepts quickly.
  • Ability to work well with others and at a fast pace.
