Job Description
We'd Love to See:
Job DescriptionSr. Engineers for various and unanticipated worksites throughout the US (HQ: Chicago, IL). Install and rebuild network and internet systems, new and existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories and storage (including migrations). Configure and maintain virtualization technologies across all environments. Perform Linux infrastructure management including installation and configuration of RHEL, centos, Redhat satellite, Patch management, and Linux file system management through lvm (logical volume manager). Perform hardware troubleshooting, Cabling. Configure puppet, automate infrastructure using Ansible. Execute data center tasks. Perform network system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, reviewing network systems and key processes. Repair and recover from hardware and software failures. Technical environment: Linux, SAN/NAS, EMC storage, Windows and VMware administration, Ansible, automation, configuration management and orchestration, CVS, SVN, Git, bash, shell, Openstack, AWS cloud based solutions.
Job Requirements
*Master's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or any Engineering field or related field plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or with network infrastructure systems required. Skills Required: experience installing new servers, configuring hardware, peripherals, storage (including migrations); Linux infrastructure management (installation and configuration of RHEL, centos, Redhat satellite, Patch management) and through LVM; configuration of puppet, Ansible to automate infrastructure; performing hardware troubleshooting, Cabling, EMC Storage, SAN/NAS, Windows, VMware administration, automation, configuration management and orchestration; CVS, SVN, Git, bash, shell. Telecommuting permitted. (*Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or any Engineering field or related field plus 5 years of progressive experience in the job offered or with network infrastructure systems also acceptable.)
