What You Will Do:

The Outreach Development Specialist will primarily be responsible for portfolio management within an assigned territory. This will include developing relationships, lead generation, and lead conversion with businesses and organizations within the Chicagoland area.

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities:

    Generate leads by cold-calling, visiting businesses, working and setting up events, developing relationships, identifying partnership opportunities and nurturing those opportunities.
  • Be able to identify and reach decision makers within businesses/organizations and the potential to effectively promote NLU programs to those individuals and their employee base.
  • Schedule, set-up and work events, consisting of internal NLU events (Info Meetings, Career Fairs, etc), external Grad School fairs, corporate events, table set ups, conventions/ conferences, chamber events, etc.
  • Collaborate with the enrollment team on a regular basis, providing updates on activity, brainstorming opportunities and strategic planning. Works with enrollment team to identify and develop quality outreach leads.
  • Quantitative goals of a lead per month outcome, events per month expectation, etc.
  • Works with Director to collaborate with faculty and strategic plan for academic program enrollment needs.
  • Proactively identify new opportunities for growth in relation to specific programs.
  • Become an expert on features and benefits of NLU Business and Psychology programs.
Qualifications

Qualifications, Skills and Competencies:




  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred

  • Minimum 3 years of related experience, preferably in higher education

  • Bi-lingual preferred, Spanish speaker

  • Ability to measure and track progress against goals

  • Ability to network and develop relationships in higher education, business and psychology communities

  • Self-starter

  • Ability to understand University programs and resulting career opportunities
