ManagementJob Summary:

The Regional Manager, Distribution Facilities (DF) is responsible for the health & safety, operations, environmental, maintenance, capital execution, security, and employee development at all assigned DF locations. The Regional Manager will possess excellent leadership and communication skills and foster healthy and collaborative relationships within the region and with Managers of other departments.

Job Description:

  • Ensures awareness of and compliance with corporate and department EHS policies and standards throughout the region. Additionally promote timely follow-up to action items from both internal and external investigations and audits.
  • Actively supports and participates in established corporate and department based EHS initiatives and assist in the proposal and development of new initiatives as required.
  • Supports and enhances incident reduction initiatives through personal engagement and promoting individual accountability for safety performance within the region and across the department.
  • Oversees the preventative maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment and site security systems to meet department objectives.
  • Directs and/or recommends necessary changes to facility processes, equipment, procedures, or staffing to meet departmental objectives.
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with all DF groups to obtain the required assistance in meeting departmental objectives.
  • Works closely and maintains good relationships with all departments in the corporate office to ensure optimum communication and coordination concerning facility operations.
  • Participates in the preparation of Authorization For Expenditures (AFEs) to commit corporate funds for capital projects including leading the process for budget item identification, prioritization, and justification and partners with all stakeholders for project scope development, project approval, project budgetary adherence and reporting requirements.
  • Prepares and administers annual regional operating budget and actively participates in the department budgeting process.
  • Participates in long-range facility maintenance, expansion or reduction planning.
  • Provides direction and coordination of regional operating staff resources to ensure the fulfillment of departmental goals, including definition of major areas of responsibility, training and development requirements, performance management, and corporate reporting requirements
  • Facilitates development opportunities for employees and assist in the process of identifying and developing high potential individuals across the region.
  • Represents CF Industries within the local community and promotes CF Industries Community Relations programs.
  • Completes other duties or special projects as assigned.

Successful incumbents will have:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent technical experience and business aptitude.
  • Preferred 10 years' minimum progressive experience in a PSM standard covered distribution or processing environment (preference will be given to fertilizer manufacturing, petrochemical or refining experience).
  • Competent with applicable codes, regulations and standards.
  • Proven supervisory experience including mentoring, coaching, and leadership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization, from hourly employees to senior executives of the company.
  • Must be PC literate within a Windows environment and be proficient in Microsoft applications.
  • Must have the ability to travel on an as-needed basis (travel is primarily throughout the assigned facility locations and can account for up to 60% of the workweek).
  • Must successfully obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential card (TWIC).

In this position, travel is required to various facilities throughout the specified region and accounts for approximately 40-60% of the workweek. Trips are typically 1-4 nights in duration.
