Overview

We are seeking Structural Engineer Inern (EI) with 0 to 5 years of experience to be part of our Structural Engineering team in the Buildings Division located in our West Palm Beach, FL office.


In this position, you will assist in the development of Structural Engineering design projects, both vertical and horizontal, for clients public and private sectors. The candidate will work in a fast-paced engineering environment working on a multitude of projects from Mixed-use, multi-family, hospitality, or commercial buildings to infrastructure projects such as Seawalls and piers. Responsibilities
    Develop engineering designs and drawings for various structures both vertical (buildings) and horizontal (infrastructure) including mild and post-tensioned reinforced concrete, structural steel, light-wood or heavy timber, and masonry
  • Assist in the creation of engineering documents including construction documents, calculation submissions, capacity analysis reports, field reports etc.
  • Review shop drawings and submittals
  • Coordinate work with other disciplines such as architectural, MEP, Civil, etc
  • Learn and use structural analysis and BIM software
  • Create construction documents using Autodesk Revit
  • Attend and participate in project meetings
  • Conduct structural observations and prepare associated observation reports
  • General willingness to learn through over-the-shoulder training with direct supervisors, continuing education meetings, professional organization involvement, and technical documentation reading
  • Capable of executing projects in a fast-paced environment, and enthusiasm for working with a high-performing team
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college (Masters preferred)
  • Passing score on Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam
  • Proficiency or ability to become proficient in Structural Engineering Software including Tekla Structural Designer, ETABs, SAP 2000, RISA, RAM, Tedds, SConcrete.
  • Proficiency or ability to become proficient in BIM Software including Autodesk Revit
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and work on large multi-discipline engineering teams
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas
