Job Title: Restaurant Assistant Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt, Full-Time, Direct-Hire
Location: Schaumburg, IL
Work hour: Shift Schedule
Salary: $42K - $45K to start

A growing Asian chain restaurant is currently seeking an Assistant Manager. This position entails overseeing restaurant operations under the Restaurant Manager, educating part-time staff, and striving for operational efficiency as a full-time employee. It offers an excellent opportunity for career advancement within the organization, as they are growing business and opening up new restaurant with cutting-edge technology. The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of lead experience in the food service and/or hospitality industry and be willing to contribute to and grow with the company.

Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring an outstanding guest experience.
Provide supervision and support to part-time staff.
Facilitate communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
Create and manage shift schedules, process time sheets, and maintain detailed records of financial transactions.
Coordinate the onboarding process for new employees, including scheduling and conducting training sessions.
Ensure adherence to safe food handling procedures.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Previous leadership experience in the restaurant and/or hospitality industry.
Strong communication and team management skills.
Flexibility to work during opening hours, including evenings, holidays, and weekends.
High school diploma; additional certification in hospitality is a plus.
