TRC serves a broad range of clients in government and industry, implementing complex projects from initial concept to delivery and operation.

SECTOR OVERVIEW

Our Environmental Sector delivers comprehensive environmental solutions to meet the full project lifecycle needs of clients in renewable energy, oil - gas, transportation, and manufacturing industries. With one of the largest multimedia air and land permitting and compliance teams in the country, we support client success in manufacturing and industry, liquids delivery and processing, natural gas storage and delivery, power generation and delivery, and transportation projects.

POSITION SUMMARY

TRC is seeking a Senior Air Quality Consultant to lead our Gulf Coast Air Quality Team, with offices in Austin, Houston and Baton Rouge. The position requires a strong technical, financial, business development and management background, and a solid reputation of building and maintaining key client relationships. TRC's AMS team is a growing and highly profitable group ranging from entry-level staff to nationally recognized Subject Matter Experts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - TASKS

  • Driven to lead project teams and staff and are responsible for delivering, leadership, quality, day to day operation and growth of TRC's Air Consulting business by providing technical direction to staff and performing client outreach to develop new business opportunities.
  • Have a significant role in optimizing the quality and profitability of TRC's projects, as well as assisting with managing and developing the skill sets of Project Managers and other employees and resources to ensure our projects are executed with a high level of efficiency and technical excellence.
  • Understand and manage team resources and assist in hiring and developing new and existing talent.
  • Possess excellent verbal, written, presentation and client management skills; demonstrated ability leading and managing complex projects; as well as being goal oriented, quality focused, and have demonstrated success with creating and fostering a team environment.
  • Responsible for managing and expanding TRC-s portfolio for specific clients and able to identify and develop new business opportunities, market clients, and deliver responsive, high-quality services.
  • Direct, manage and monitor multiple project budgets, scopes and schedules for regulatory submittals and other consulting documents.
  • Lead and mentor project managers on strategic pursuits, including proposal development and client meetings.
  • Communicate horizontally and help maintain strong relationships with key leaders within their geographic region, and other members in the TRC Environmental Sector.
  • Perform Quality Analysis/Quality Control of key deliverables related to proposals, projects and tasks managed, as well as projects and tasks managed by others, and are responsible for implementation of the firms' quality procedures at project and task levels.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in environmental engineering, meteorology, or related field of study. Related Master's Degree or MBA a plus.
  • Minimum of 15 years' experience leading projects, serving clients, leading teams, and managing technical staff under a seller/doer business model within an Environmental consulting/engineering firm.
  • Technical project expertise in managing and implementing Clean Air Act programs such as Title V; New Source Review; BACT, RACT, and MACT; and permitting, air quality engineering, air dispersion modelling and compliance with air quality requirements.
  • Strong business acumen and attributes, coupled with a commitment to TRC Values: Safety, Quality, Integrity, Creativity, Accountability, Teamwork and Passion.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven track record with business development, business management and oversight of a team that results in $1 million+ yearly net revenue in air quality related services.
  • Experience in permitting facilities that are part of the energy transformation.
  • Certified Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP), Certified Consulting Meteorologist (CCM), or licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Active Membership in AWMA, AMS, ASME, AICHE or other Professional Associations
